luckily unlucky

at last i ended my paeds postings. not that i dont enjoy the experience, but having nothing to do, or rather not allowed to do most things, except play with the children and babies was extremely disconcerting especially when the previous attachment was hard to even get a breathing space. but hey, it was fun. so far i taught one kid how to thumb wrestle, abt 4 how to give flying kisses, and one to hide under a blanket before jump out yelling in a bid to scare ppl.

oh yeah, i'm definitely renting kids next time ;p

plus there are stories and scandals, and really, what hospital is complete without ghost? i still miss my adam though.

another thing that was prevalent since that lunch at baroque was wedding and marriage. weewee started it with her 'oh my cousin getting married really soon comment' and soon everywhere i turned it's all about weddings! i just missed a bridal gathering on fri for my sec classmates, where 2 are getting hitched, and 1 is getting engaged. even in the hospital, students and staffs are discussing about bf and who's getting married really soon, and what are the best companies to use for catering, costume bla bla.

so my question after all the congratulations are cleared is

"WHY????"

am i the only one who feels that these ppl are too young? we're only 22 after all. what happen to seeing the world, travelling, experiencing the exotic? what happen to setting up a stable base and actually achieving something of merit before settling down?

it's so freaky. you know what comes after marriage. no matter how much we say later, children will happen. are they ready, really ready? cos i met a lot of young parents in the ward, and they're mostly clueless. and scared.

let's see how they react to pregnancy tomorrow in obstetric.

i feel like such an anomaly for not even being interested in any guy while others are busy nesting.

"pretty girls and no boyfriends? bluff one! unless you're a lesbian?!"
