-nothing to say
take a minute to reflect mon ami..
just a minute to reflect. think globally. what kind of world are we living in? what are we leaving for the next generation to inherit? killing, bombing, nuclear holocoust..what do YOU feel when you open the paper and read about suicide bombers and the London bombing and the Iraqi insurgents bombing mosques..depressing aint it?
i cant walk through underground tunnels without thinking about the London bombing. which is kinda..*insert word here*... cos i have to go through underground almost everyday to get to office. try walking esp along the concourse to the NEL at Outram which is way waaayyyy underground and think abt being bombed. it aint nice. kept thinking abt whether anyone will survive, whether anyone would notify my parents, would anyone tell shafi' ? what about my other frenz? is everyone at the concourse gonna be crushed? cos there's still the NW line above us afterall..
everyone's dying. those in Africa of starvation and disease, those in Middle East and Pakistan of war and suicide bombers, and most recently, those in New Orleans of my dearest Mother Nature. the rich-poor gap is widening greatly in the developing nations, there's disease everywhere, epidemics..new viruses..even our food source aint safe. pollutions, deforestation, desertification..smart bombs invented everyday ( one wish: that one day they make bombs smart enough that it'll make peace among itself instead of killing masses), civillians reffered to as collateral damages (what a laugh!)..
that ladies and gentlemen, is THE main reason why am reluctant to procreate.
leave a child in the world of that? you must be crazy! then again, mebbe the next generation can fix what we cant and what we messed up..
today is the Beslan hostage massacre ( http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Beslan_school_massacre) anniversary. take a minute and pray for the kids. please.
only one thing thats indiscriminate in this life and that is Death...
